The United Kingdom announced here today thepostponement of Climate Change Summit (COP26), due to the spread of the newCoronavirus.
The British Secretary of Labor Alok Shurma,said in a statement that the summit, previously scheduled to take place in theBritish city of Glasgow in November 2020, was postponed infinitively becausecountries are facing unprecedented challenges and currently focusing onfighting the spread of the new Coronavirus.
He added that he would continue to work withpartners to achieve possible goals to address the climate crisis andre-schedule the new summit.
