Turki Al Al-Sheikh Crowns Heavyweight Boxing Champion Tyson Fury with Belt of the Riyadh Season

As part of the launching events of the fourth edition of the Riyadh Season, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Advisor Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Al-Sheikh yesterday crowned in the Kingdom Arena, the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Tyson Fury with the belt of the Riyadh Season after defeating his rival, the mixed martial arts fighter Francis Ngannou.

 The activities of the Riyadh Season 2023 were launched under the slogan "Big Time" in the presence of a number of members of diplomatic bodies in the Kingdom, artists and athletes, the most prominent of whom being the Portuguese and Saudi Al-Nasr club football star Cristiano Ronaldo.

 The Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, the American boxer of the century, Lennox Lewis, and the world boxer Larry Holmes, who achieved the title of world heavyweight champion and held it for seven years, were also in attendance.

 The season's activities began with a speech by Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh, as he extended his sincere thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and HRH the Crown Prince, for "the unlimited support for the entertainment sector in general, and the Riyadh season in particular."

 He added: "Visitors are welcomed to the fourth edition of the Riyadh Season, which is unique and will fulfil everyone's dreams and wishes."
