Transport General Authority Launches Automated Monitoring Vehicle in First Trial for 1445 Hajj Season

The Transport General Authority has introduced an automated monitoring vehicle for the first time during this year's 1445 Hajj season, with the aim of overseeing all transportation means used by pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah, and other holy sites, to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and quality.

Developed through integrated national efforts, the automated monitoring vehicle uses mobile surveillance cameras to accurately identify, with a precision rate of 99%, the type and data of vehicles such as buses, taxis, and trucks during the Hajj season, ensuring that transport services for the pilgrims are safe and reliable.

The use of the automated monitoring vehicle is expected to increase rates of compliance with services, activities, and regulatory operations.
