The annual Supply Chain Conference will kick off in Riyadh from 16-17 October, under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef.

The conference represents an important opportunity to exchange visions, ideas, and experiences on the best methods and latest practices; to improve the performance of industrial supply chains, raise their efficiency and develop the target sectors associated with them, in pursuit of one of the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in making the Kingdom a global logistics center.

The conference’s organizing committee called on all interested parties in the industry and industrial services sector to register to attend workshops, seminars, and accompanying activities, stressing that this annual event will shed light on the industrial supply chain system that will help industrialists and influential players in the sector to sustain their supply chains and reduce fluctuations and future challenges and ways to confront them.

During the conference, in which the Supply Chain and Procurement Society will participate, the achievements and plans of the targeted sectors will be discussed, including launching initiatives and signing agreements, which will serve the industrial sector and keep pace with continuous modernization, being the most important and promising economic sectors that will enhance economic sources of income and attract more investments.

The conference will host the largest gathering of supply chain decision-makers with the participation of international and local speakers over two days, including sharing several working papers and research dealing with global best practices and their application to manufacturing processes, supply chain, and support services, in addition to important topics in developing innovative concepts for supply chains, and developing procedures and systems.

Dialogue sessions will be held, during which a group of CEOs from supportive entities in industrial and operational operations will participate, to present their experience in projects that are provided to clients as support and supply services.

It will also discuss various related topics, concerning the industry, advanced technology, the sustainability of industrial supply chains, as well as navigating the experiences of leaders and decision-makers, in addition to the possibilities of sustainable profit, raising awareness about risks in supplier transactions, investing technology in supply chain planning and procurement, among others.
