Turkey strongly condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia

Turkey on Tuesday strongly condemned attacks by the Houthi militia targeting civilian and economic sites in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran in Saudi Arabia, which resulted in injuries to several civilians, including women and children. The statement also noted the continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea, posing a threat to the security, safety, and freedom of international maritime navigation.

In a statement, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: "We strongly condemn the Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, which disregard the safety of civilians and their property and escalate tensions in the region."

The ministry added: "We reaffirm our support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom."

The ministry also stressed that the attacks undermine diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict in Yemen through a lasting political solution.
