Stroke Prevents Mother's Hajj Journey, Daughter Steps Up at Ankara Airport

In the bustling atmosphere of the Makkah Route Initiative lounge at Esenboga International Airport, in Ankara, stories unfold.

Some pilgrims chant prayers, seeking forgiveness, others excitedly talk about their Hajj journey.

Among them, an SPA reporter met Hajja Zubaida Duran, accompanied by her father, as they prepared to depart for Hajj this year.

Hajja Duran's tale reveals a heartwarming act of filial piety.

"My mother, who had longed for this pilgrimage for 15 years, suffered a stroke that left her bedridden," she shared.

"Sadly, she could not perform Hajj this year, due to her condition. I couldn't bear to see her sadness, so I decided, without hesitation, to perform Hajj on her behalf."

Driven by this powerful motivation, Hajja Duran embarked on her journey.

She expressed gratitude for the Makkah Route Initiative, which "has significantly eased the process for me and my father. He is incredibly impressed by the efficient organization. We have heard praises for its professionalism and warm reception, and I now witness it firsthand."

The initiative ensures a smooth and comfortable experience for pilgrims, evident in the swift completion of travel procedures witnessed by Hajja Duran.

"Today I understand the true meaning of all the positive feedback I have heard," she stressed.
