South Sudan president expresses support for Saudi Arabia's bid to host World Expo 2030

South Sudan President Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, received at the presidential palace Friday, the advisor at the Saudi Royal Court Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Qattan and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and the means to enhance them in all aspects to serve the aspirations of the two countries, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international events and issues of mutual interest.

Qattan, during the meeting, conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, and their wishes to the government and people of South Sudan for further progress and prosperity.

The president conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and to the Crown Prince, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia.

The president expressed his country's support for the Kingdom's bid to host the Expo 2030 in Riyadh. Qattan, for his part, expressed the Saudi government’s appreciation for this support, which emanates from the distinguished relations between the two countries.

KSrelief’s team concludes assessment visit to South Sudan

The meeting was attended by the Kingdom’s Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, Non-resident Ambassador to South Sudan, Ali Bin Hassan Jaafar.

Meanwhile, South Sudan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mayiik Ayii Deng also announced his country's support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the Expo 2030.

In a statement to the media after the meeting of Advisor Qattan with President Gen. Salva, the foreign minister said that his country supports the Kingdom's bid to host the Expo 2030 in Riyadh, stressing that this decision reflects the strong relations between the two countries.

For his part, Advisor Qattan expressed the Saudi government's appreciation for this support, which emanates from the strong bilateral ties.
