Saudi Electronic University Granted ISO 9001:2015 Certificate

The Saudi Electronic University (SEU) was granted the global ISO 9001:2015 certificate by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for implementing quality management system (QMS) in the field of higher education and lifelong learning through e-learning and blended learning applications and technologies, and through providing continuous learning and lifelong learning courses in the colleges, institutes and centers affiliated with it.

The certificate was obtained after a comprehensive, detailed, and accurate evaluation of all the procedures followed by SEU, and after comparing them with the quality standards globally approved by international accreditation bodies, based on the latest scientific methods. Evaluation programs were prepared in multiple stages, such as a gap analysis, which is concerned with creating a quality unit in all university agencies. It also included holding courses to train on QMS requirements, and establish, review and activate QMS.

The ISO 9001:2015 certificate is one of the oldest and most distinguished accreditations in the world.

It provides evaluation and accreditation services to many establishments around the world.

SEU President Dr. Mohammed Mardi expressed pride in this achievement, and thanked university administrations and all those responsible for this achievement for their efforts and hard work that helped the university progress.

The university’s Vice President for Planning, Development and Quality Dr. May Al-Nabahin said that the ISO certificate is one of the most important achievements of the university, which always seeks to apply the highest standards of quality and to continuously develop and achieve more success.

She stressed that this achievement is the result of the keenness of the University Vice Presidency for Planning, Development and Quality to meet quality standards in all administrative and academic services provided by the university, and to urge all university departments and colleges to develop their administrative performance and ensure its quality.
