Saudi Arabia Welcomes UN General Assembly’s Endorsement of ‘Measures to Combat Islamophobia’

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the United Nation General Assembly’s endorsement of the “Measures to Combat Islamophobia" resolution.

The Kingdom also appointed a special envoy at the United Nations for Islamophobia.

The Ministry reiterated the Kingdom’s support for all international efforts aimed at combating extremist ideas and countering financing of radicalism, underlying the Kingdom’s promotion and adoption of the values of peace and dialogue among followers of faiths and civilizations.

It also supports establishing a culture of mutual respect among faiths and civilizations and promotes a culture of coexistence among peoples to achieve peace and prosperity for the world.
