Saudi Arabia Participates in AI Safety Summit in London

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Safety Summit 2023 kicked off Wednesday in London with the participation of President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, several ministers and high-ranking officials from commissions specialized in AI technologies worldwide.

 The summit brings together government officials, leading AI companies, civil-society groups, and experts in the first global gathering of its kind to discuss the future of AI and mechanisms to address its through internationally coordinated action.

 The summit aims at arriving at a common understanding of the risks associated with AI and laying down the foundations of international cooperation to ensure its safety as well as outlining the necessary measures individuals and organizations need to take to increase the safety of using AI technologies.
