UN adopts Saudi-led resolution to mark International Day for Human Fraternity

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia marks the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, celebrated on October 17 every year, highlighting its relief, humanitarian and development efforts to support and assist countries and people in crises.

The Kingdom makes outstanding efforts in this field, one of them being the leader for donor countries worldwide and being one of the largest supporters of the activities of international organizations working in the humanitarian field.

 Saudi Arabia provides relief efforts through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), to affected countries and implements projects related to food security, water and environmental sanitation, nutrition and health, shelter, education and other vital sectors.

 The Kingdom stresses its commitment to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable and reduce poverty, emanating from its values and long-standing approach to standing by those in need without discrimination.
