NCM spokesman: Next August in Saudi Arabia may see high temperatures touching 50
Hussain Al-Qahtani, spokesman of the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) stated that the outlook in the Saudi atmosphere indicate that next August would witness high temperatures that may touch 50 degrees or more in some regions. The NCM spokesman made the remarks during an interview with Al-Ekhbariya, noting that the Kingdom may also witness temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius in some eastern coastal areas, in addition to the interior regions of Saudi Arabia, especially in Madinah.
He added that there are some cities in Saudi Arabia that recorded high temperatures during this month, adding that Jeddah Governorate had recorded in 2010 temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius in the shade. The NCM spokesman mentioned that it is noticeable during this year (2022) that the summer season has started early by recording high temperatures touching 50 degrees Celsius.
