KSrelief Signs Agreement to Provide Relief Assistance to the Needy in a Number of Yemeni Provinces

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has reached here a joint cooperation agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to distribute shelter and non-food materials for the affected and displaced people in a number of Yemeni governorates, it was reported today.

The signing ceremony of the agreement worth a total value of $ 7 million, took place yesterday on the sidelines of the second global forum for refugees held in Geneva.

The agreement was signed by Advisor to the Royal Court, General Supervisor of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Philipo Grandi.

Under the agreement, 17,380 shelter bags and non-foodstuffs will be distributed to those affected and displaced in the Yemeni governorates of Al-Jouf, Amran, Taiz, Saada, Sana'a, Al-Dhali and Marib, benefiting 14,000 families including 84,000 individuals.

The agreement comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief projects that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides through its human and relief arm KSrelief to help the brotherly Yemeni people as a result of the humanitarian crisis they are going through.
