KSrelief Continues 'Empowerment through Education' Activity for Orphan-Caring Families in Yemen’s Abyan

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues to implement the “Empowerment through Education” activity to train and equip families caring for orphans in the Abyan governorate, Yemen.

The initiative is part of the broader school reintegration project for out-of-school girls in Yemen, conducted in collaboration with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO).

The director of the KSrelief office in Aden, Saleh Al-Dhaibani, visited the training centers in Zinjibar on Wednesday, where he recognized the progress made by female trainees in sewing and food industries. He also examined various products and crafts made by the beneficiaries during the training.

Al-Dhaibani encouraged the trainees to make the most of the program, acquiring skills that will contribute to improving their future living conditions.

The reintegration project for out-of-school girls in Yemen aims to train and empower families caring for orphans by providing them with a range of life and professional skills.

This includes establishing 14 educational and training courses in areas such as sewing, embroidery, incense and perfume making, food industries, as well as technology and photography courses.

The project’s goal is to enable families to become economically and socially self-reliant, allowing their girls to reintegrate into education and continue their studies. The project benefits 280 trainees across the governorates of Lahij, Abyan, Marib, Hadhramaut, and Socotra.

The initiative is part of the Kingdom’s humanitarian and relief projects implemented through KSrelief, aiming to empower families of girls who have dropped out of education and improve their living conditions.
