KSrelief Concludes Voluntary Medical Project for Neurosurgery in Chad

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) concluded a voluntary medical project today for neurosurgery in N'Djamena in Chad, which was implemented between January 21 and 28, 2024, with the participation of 21 volunteers from various medical specializations.

Throughout the campaign, the KSrelief voluntary medical team conducted health assessments on 300 individuals and executed 70 surgeries, addressing a range of medical issues.

These surgeries included the placement of a brain fluid drainage tube to treat meningitis, intricate cases of brain tumors, degenerative spinal diseases, highly complex congenital disorders, correction of spinal deformities, and relieving pressure from the vertebrae. Additionally, a groundbreaking cerebroscope surgery, the first of its kind in Chad, was performed.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to voluntary medical projects, facilitated by KSrelief, aimed at assisting patients and injured individuals globally.
