King Abdulaziz Public Library Partners with ALECSO to Help Disseminate Knowledge
King Abdulaziz Public Library (KAPL) signed today a partnership agreement with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, with the aim of helping disseminate knowledge and culture throughout the Arab world by leveraging the projects and programs offered by the library.
This initiative aligns with the Kingdom's commitment to foster joint and sustainable efforts, as highlighted at the ongoing "ALECSO Forum for Business and Partnerships", held in Tunisia.
The agreement envisages cooperation in various programs and projects, such as a podcast series on translation and artificial intelligence, in which experts in translation, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies take part, online training courses on the Unified Arab Index, and a paper book donation to libraries in Arab countries with the greatest need.
It also entails providing virtual exhibitions, including Arabic calligraphy exhibition, and organizing a virtual forum that facilitates meetings showcasing successful Arab experiences influenced by reading.
