The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran, will hand over tomorrow the gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, amounting to 50,060 copies of the Holy Quran of various sizes and interpretations to Thailand in a ceremony to be attended by various political and Islamic figures, and scholars, in the context of efforts to deliver the gift to Muslims around the world before the holy month of Ramadan for this year.
On this occasion, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, General Supervisor of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Madinah, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh expressed his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince for their efforts and continuous support that contribute to serving the message of Islam, adding that this gift is the Kingdom’s lofty message that emanates from its leading role in the Islamic world, which also coincides with the development and distinction of relations between the two countries.
Sheik Dr. Al-Sheikh explained that this gift is an extension of what was sent to Thailand in the past years, as it represents a practical translation of the leadership’s directive and is in line with the lofty message undertaken by the Kingdom to publish and distribute millions of copies of the Holy Quran to Muslims worldwide in more than 76 languages.
The minister highlighted that the King Fahd Complex, which was built by the Kingdom and enjoys the care and attention of Muslims in the world, has increased its production rate by more than 100%, from seven million copies to 20 million copies annually in high quality, noting that by the end of 2021, the complex produced more than 345 million copies, of which more than 320 million copies were distributed as a gift from the Kingdom to Muslims around the world.
