IMCTC Signs MoU for Cooperation with Permanent Committee of International Humanitarian Law

Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi and President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (RCA) and President of the Permanent Committee of International Humanitarian Law Dr. Jalal bin Mohammed Al-Owaisi have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for fostering cooperation between the IMCTC and various Arab, Islamic and international organizations and centers.

Al-Moghedi emphasized that the MoU aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge in international humanitarian law. It also seeks to foster research and academic cooperation, enabling the development of skills in areas of mutual interest.

Al-Moghedi further highlighted the crucial role of the Permanent Committee of International Humanitarian Law, particularly in addressing issues related to international armed conflicts and the impact of terrorism on affected nations.

He stressed the need to govern legal actions in conflicts and wars in accordance with humanitarian legal frameworks, emphasizing that these frameworks are essential for the protection of individuals and societies, shielding them from immoral violations.

Al-Moghedi underscored that this partnership is a crucial step within the framework of combating terrorism and extremism, while also strengthening the international humanitarian role in addressing related issues.
