The Arab Parliament condemned the brutal Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the targeting of defenseless civilians, which claimed dozens of martyrs and wounded, including children. In a statement today, the Arab Parliament blamed the occupation authorities for the consequences of this dangerous escalation against the Palestinian people, and their bombing of civilian targets in the Gaza Strip with aircraft, in flagrant defiance of international law and a violation of the Charter of the United Nations, conventions, treaties and international principles, and a violation of all resolutions of international legitimacy and human rights principles.
It called on the international community to intervene urgently to stop this escalation and blatant aggression against the defenseless Palestinian people, children and women, and to provide them with civil protection. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the brutal military aggression being launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, which led to a number of Palestinian martyrs and wounded.
The Organization considered this aggression as a continuation of the crimes of Israel, the occupying power, and its violations of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy. It also held the Israeli occupation force fully responsible for the consequences of this dangerous escalation, calling on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to shoulder its responsibilities in ceasing this Israeli aggression and providing international protection for the Palestinian people.
The League of Arab States condemned in the strongest terms the brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip, stressing that this aggression will not affect the determination and steadfastness of the people of Palestine or their legitimate national rights in accordance with international law and legitimacy. In a statement yesterday, the Arab League held the occupation fully responsible for this aggression and its repercussions and for the heinous bloody crimes it continues to commit, which require international accountability before the competent international justice bodies.
It called on the international community, especially the Security Council and human rights organizations, to take immediate and effective action to stop this aggression and provide an international protection system for the Palestinian people by implementing the relevant UN resolutions.
