3.9 Million Saudi Employees Registered in Labour Market for Q3 2023

The register-based labour market statistics for the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) and the Civil Service have revealed that the total number of Saudi employees (males and females) registered in the Saudi labour market reached 3,921,321 employees by the end of the third quarter of 2023. Male employees constituted 60.1% of the[general total with 2,357,785 employees, while the percentage of females of the general total was 39.9%, with a number of 1,563,536 employees.

Saudi workers (males and females) subject to the GOSI rules and regulations constituted the highest percentage, with 68.8% of the total number of 2,696,797 employees.

The number of male employees recorded is 1,641,761, while the number of females is 1,055,036.

According to statistics, the number of Saudis working (males and females)according to the civil service rules and regulations reached 1,224,524 employees, representing 31.2% of the general total. The number of males reached 716,024 employees, while the number of females reached 508,500 employees.

The data by age groups showed that the age group of Saudi employees between [(30 and 43)] is the highest among other age groups with a number of 667,100 employees, constituting 17% of the total number of employees (males and females), followed by the age group (35 and 39) with a number of 640,496 employees, with a percentage of 16.3%.

Then the age group between [(25 and 29)], with 629,475 employees, a percentage of 16%. Finally the age group between [(40 and 44)], with a number of 585,734 employees and a percentage of 14.9%.
