Riyadh negates Pressing Pakistan to Skip Kuala Lumpur Summit

Saudi Arabia negates on Saturday pressing Pakistan not to participate in the Kuala Lumpur Summit held in Malaysia recently.

The Saudi Embassy in Pakistan issued a statemented dismissing all reports on this regard.

"News promoted about pressures the kingdom put on Pakistan not to participate in the mini-summit in Malaysia, were baseless and fake".

The Saudi embassy stated.

The embassy stressed that such "false reports" have already been "denied by the strong relations between the two countries".

It said that the two countries agree on the importance of "unity of the Islamic nation" and maintaining the OIC.

In addition to stressing the mutual respect of sovereignty and the independence as key feature of the "well-established historical relations.

Earlier, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson had said in a tweet that

Pakistan hadn't participated in the summit as the priority is to address the concerns of major Muslim countries regarding possible division in the Ummah.

"Pakistan will continue to work for the unity of the Ummah," the statement said.
