InternationalAffairs, the magazine of American international affairs, has named Ambassador Rimabint Bandar and Sheikha Rima Al-Sabah among the "Top 150 Most PowerfulWomen in Washington", becoming the only Arab women on the list for thisyear.

Themagazine's list for 2019 included a number of notable women, including NancyPelosi, speaker of the US House of Representatives, Ivanka Trump, daughter andadvisor to US President, and Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the president inthe administration of U.S. president Donald Trump.

Thetwo women are among the 150 "most influential women in the region ingovernance, business, law, education, media, non-profit organizations and thearts," the magazine said.

PrincessRima bint Bandar bin Sultan, born in 1975, was appointed as Saudi Ambassador tothe United States with the rank of minister on February 23, 2019, to be thefirst woman to serve as ambassador in her country's history.

SheikhaRima Al-Sabah, a former journalist known for her humanitarian work, wasappointed by UNHCR as a Goodwill Ambassador in 2015.
