The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, and all affiliated organizations condemned the bombing by the Israeli occupation forces of Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza yesterday evening.
The Secretary-General offered his condolences to the victims' families and his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, stressing that hospitals, clinics, medical workers, and United Nations facilities enjoy protection under international law.
The Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund in the Arab Countries, Laila Bakr, condemned the bombing of the hospital and said: "The world must act immediately to end the cycle of violence and protect the innocent. Targeting hospitals, health facilities, and health workers is a crime that must not be tolerated."
