The Jordanian Ma'an folklore arts band participated for the second consecutive year in the Abha Shopping Festival, part of the Aseer Summer events, delivering traditional performances that garnered enthusiastic audience engagement.

Mohammed Krishan, the band's supervisor, told the Saudi Press Agency that the band aims to showcase a diverse array of folk arts that reflect Jordanian national identity.

Their repertoire prominently features traditional dances such as the dahiyya, dabka, and jawfiya—collective art forms that captivate audiences and offer an immersive heritage experience.

Krishan highlighted that these performances are brought to life with authentic traditional instruments, including the mizmar and drums, which help recreate the desert’s atmosphere on stage.

He also noted the symbolic importance of the band's traditional costumes, which lend the performances a genuine Bedouin character deeply rooted in Jordanian heritage.

He underscored that the band's continued participation in the Abha Shopping Festival strengthens Arab cultural presence and promotes the preservation of authentic heritage across the region.
