Multiple missiles fired by the Houthi militia in Yemen targeted Ataq Airport in Shabwah Governorate late Dec. 2, damaging some technical equipment. A large formation of Yemeni forces had reportedly arrived at the airport a few hours before the alleged strike.
The General Authority for Civil Aviation in the legitimate Yemeni government in Aden; condemned the "cowardly terrorist attack and targeting of Ataq Airport yesterday evening."
On Wednesday, the Arab coalition said it destroyed military vehicles; belonging to the militia on several fronts in Shabwa over the past 24 hours.
Increased security is likely in the area, which will prompt business and transport disruptions. Further attacks are likely in the coming hours and days.
