Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi discussed regional and international developments with Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy at NATO Ambassador Boris Ruge.
Meeting on the sidelines of the 19th IISS Manama Dialogue, the two officials discussed about challenges facing the world that threaten regional and international security and stability and exchanged views on the need to enhance stability in the region and protect international peace and security. They also tackled the latest developments in the regional and international arenas and other topics of mutual concern.
The two officials also addressed the dire situation in Gaza Strip and the implications of the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, and emphasized the need for ceasefire and for humanitarian assistance to Gaza Strip.
