New Saudi Achievement in the Field of Measurement and Calibration

The National Measurement and Calibration Center (NMCC) ofthe Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) passed the PeerEvaluation carried out by the Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP), in aSaudi achievement by the Center for the first time in its history since itsestablishment in 1986.

The Peer Evaluation is one of the highest technical and administrativeevaluation levels of calibration institutes within the framework of theInternational Recognition Agreement (CIPM MRA), and is carried out by a groupof international specialists in metrology, where the center was assessed by sixinternational experts from the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Ukraine and Turkey.The evaluation process took a full week, in its technical and administrativeaspects in order to demonstrate the metrological performance of the Center'slaboratories with the requirements of CIPM MRA.
