New COVID-19 cases in Kingdom go one over the 50-mark

New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia went one case more than the 50-mark on Friday, with 51 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours, after remaining below the 5-mark for eight straight days.

New COVID case in the Kingdom has been fluctuating around the 50-mark, with infections dipping below the mark for two weeks after seeing new cases recording over the 50-mark four straight days in between the slides.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, 1 person died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 548,162 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,774.

According to the ministry, a total of 59 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 537,208.

According to the ministry, among the active cases 77 of them were in critical condition.
