NEOM launched today its 1st initiative to train national cadres to work in NEOM Project. This will be through " NEOM Vocational Diploma Ending with in Employment" program which aims to improve the technical skills of more than 6,000 trainees in the upcoming five years, to localize jobs in NEOM's different sectors and to involve them in the building of the largest project of its kind in the world.
The program in it's 1st year will receive 1000 students in three majors; tourism, hospitality and cybersecurity. The students will receive the training in NEOM Academy, that was launched in January 2020, in partnership with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the University of Tabuk. The program will support the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, developing the national manpower in different fields which will promote the growth of non-oil local production.
Director of NEOM Eng. Nadhmi Al-Nasr said that empowering competent people is one of the objectives of NEOM, expressing his gladness to witness the launching of the project that will enable citizens of this nation to participate in building NEOM project. He also extended thanks to all partners who contributed to the launch of the academy.
"NEOM Vocational Diploma Ending with in Employment" program is of the programs that NEOM launched to build the capacity of the community. The other programs that NEOM launched within its programs of social responsibility include scholarship program and English language training program. NEOM is also working on launching other programs aiming to develop the digital capacity of the trainees.
