MWL Launches Program for Reformed Religious Discourse

The Muslim World League (MWL) launched a package of training programs to raise awareness of the renewal of religious discourse.

MWL Secretary-General Mohammad Al-Issa explained that these training programs implement the plan to activate the Makkah Document. Scholars and intellectuals said it is an important roadmap for contemporary religious discourse.

Issa attributed the document, created at the MWL international conference under the auspices of King Salman last Ramadan, to a successful idea had by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman.

The MWL chief also pointed out that the document will have wide-scale activation.

The MWL aspires to aid the contribution of scholars and thinkers of the Islamic nation. This is to promote awareness of the document through the enlightened discourse.

More so, he Supreme Council of MWL announced launching of the MWL's "Islamic Jurisprudence Award," and the "Holy Makkah Document" prize, with a total value of SR1mn ($260,000).

This was announced during the 44th session of the Supreme Council's meeting of MWL, attended by representatives of 82 countries.

Issa added that the MWL has taken upon itself to promote awareness of the renewal of religious discourse.
