More than six million public school students around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia return to schools on Sunday as the first term of the new school year starts.
A school transport fleet provides 20 thousand vehicles for 1,200,000 students in 18,000 schools. Special education transport is facilitated for 30 thousand students with 4500 buses obtained for 2890 schools.
Ministry of education achieved printing and distributing 147 million text books in short times and made them available before the term starts; it also rehabilitated 3313 preschool classes to accommodate more than 82 thousand and shortened the waiting period for kindergarten schooling to 72%. The number of Students who will benefit from female teachers will be up 13.5%.
