More than 1,400 rooms ready for respiratory isolation, says Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry

AudiArabia's Ministry of Health has confirmed the readiness of more than 1,400isolation rooms in hospitals in the Kingdom, which are used for advanced casesof people with severe symptoms, as the ministry continues to intensify itsefforts to prevent the transmission of infection.

Thehospitals of the Ministry of Health currently have 1449 negative pressureisolation rooms that conform to specifications and operate effectivelydistributed across all hospitals in the governorates and health regions, andwork is currently underway to develop 713 air isolation rooms expected to becompleted in early 2021.

TheMinistry of Health provides 870 highly efficient air purifiers, one of the bestand finest ready-to-work types that can be used in patient isolation rooms underspray isolation procedures and in places of waiting and examining patients withrespiratory symptoms to improve air quality in these locations.
