Arab Parliament President Lauds Saudi Leadership’s Initiative to Provide Monthly Financial Support to Palestinians

President of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, lauded the humanitarian gesture by the Saudi leadership in announcing monthly financial support for the Palestinian people to help address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Sunday, Al-Asoumi emphasized that this initiative underscores the commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to provide assistance and support to Palestine and its people, with the aim of alleviating the suffering caused by the Israeli war on Gaza.

He praised this initiative as consistent with Saudi Arabia’s ethos, describing the country as "the Kingdom of Humanity" and citing its pioneering charitable and humanitarian role toward Arab, Muslim, and friendly nations.

Al-Asoumi noted that the Kingdom has been steadfast in extending aid and easing the suffering of populations affected by wars, conflicts, and crises, emerging as a leading model in global humanitarian efforts through continuous initiatives worldwide under its leadership's guidance.

Al-Asoumi commended the Kingdom's political and diplomatic support for the Palestinian cause, which has significantly contributed to Arab and international political endeavors aimed at halting Israeli aggression in Gaza.

He also applauded Saudi Arabia's ongoing relief and humanitarian efforts to alleviate the plight of Palestinians displaced by Israeli attacks in Gaza, particularly highlighting the remarkable relief efforts of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in supporting the Palestinian people.
