Red Sea International Film Festival Shows Rare Films of Late Saudi photographer Safouh Nomani

The Red Sea Film Foundation has announced its partnership for the second consecutive year with Effat University to empower promising female filmmakers through its "Women in Cinema" program.

The partnership was launched at the conclusion of the Effat University International Student Film Festival, in the presence of the General Supervisor of Effat University, Princess Lolowah Al-Faisal, and the university's President, Dr. Haifa Reda Jamal Al-Lail.

This partnership provides an opportunity for aspiring female filmmakers from Effat University and offers support to achieve their artistic visions. The Red Sea Fund, a subsidiary of the Red Sea Film Foundation, will support 22 different film projects starting from the development stage to the post-production stage, enhancing the quality of film projects.

CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, Mohammed Al-Turki, praised the ongoing partnership, saying: "We are proud of our partnership with Effat University within our "Women in Cinema" initiative, which has contributed to the support and empowerment of women locally, regionally, and internationally. This partnership reflects our keenness and commitment at the Red Sea Film Foundation to support promising female filmmakers to become active in the Kingdom's film movement in line with the ambitious national Vision 2030."

Meanwhile, the President of Effat University, Dr. Haifa, said: "As we launch the eleventh edition of the Effat International Student Film Festival, we are happy to cooperate with the Red Sea Film Foundation to empower women in cinema and highlight the creativity of our students in the fields of cinema arts such as short films, animation, and documentaries. We work together to deliver their creativity to the community, as this partnership is part of a series of initiatives to empower women in the film industry."
