Madinah Health Cluster launches breastfeeding awareness campaign

The Madinah Health Cluster has launched an awareness campaign to highlight the importance of breastfeeding, coinciding with World Breastfeeding Week. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding and encourage mothers to give their children the healthiest possible start in life.

The campaign seeks to promote understanding of the advantages of breastfeeding for both mother and child, encourage breastfeeding practices, correct common misconceptions, and introduce the support and consultation services provided by the cluster.

As part of the campaign, educational booths will be set up in several healthcare facilities and shopping centers, with direct consultations offered by specialized medical staff. Awareness messages will also be displayed on internal screens, and educational content will be shared on social media platforms to reach the widest possible audience.

The Madinah Health Cluster emphasized that breastfeeding is fundamental to a child’s health and proper development, helping to strengthen immunity and prevent various diseases. It also provides physical and psychological benefits for mothers. The cluster urged mothers to take advantage of the consultation and support services available at its healthcare facilities to practice breastfeeding correctly.

This campaign coincides with World Breastfeeding Week and is part of the Madinah Health Cluster’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and empower families to adopt healthy practices, positively impacting the well-being of mothers, children, and overall quality of life.
