This year's Madinah Dates Season is captivating visitors with a variety of events showcasing the region's rich agricultural heritage.

Five main locations are highlighting local date production, transformation industries, and the harvest of over 5.6 million palm trees.

An exhibition held near Quba Mosque, which will run until October 16, offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the diverse varieties of Madinah dates through over 50 sales outlets.

A bustling central date market receives daily great quantities of this fruit from local farms. Inspection teams make sure the product is of quality, while packaging companies and designated export areas cater to both local and international markets.

Innovation is also a key focus of this season. An AI-driven hackathon for dates has drawn participants from around the world. Thirteen teams have advanced to the final stage, competing to develop technological solutions for improving date agriculture, resource management, and quality evaluation.

To promote traditional Saudi arts, the Wrth Camp is showcasing wicker art creations by 49 young men and women. The camp aims to involve the local community in preserving the region's cultural heritage and sustainability by recycling palm waste.

The Madinah Chamber of Commerce is hosting dialogue sessions and workshops to address challenges in agriculture. Experts are discussing topics such as palm pest management, plant disease detection, and the application of technology in date cultivation.

The Madinah Dates Season is a celebration of local agriculture, innovation, and tradition.

It offers visitors a chance to experience the region's rich date heritage while contributing to its sustainable development.
