AI analyzes user data to predict most engaging content, expert says

Artificial intelligence specialist Dr. Essam Al-Qubaisi said that "AI analyzes user data, identifies their interests, and predicts the type of content most likely to capture their attention."

Speaking to Al-Ikhbariya Radio, Dr. Al-Qubaisi added, "Content consumers experience this in real life. When someone opens an app or discusses a certain topic, the app often starts showing them related clips about the same subject they previously talked about."

He explained that "an algorithm is a set of steps and instructions the system follows to reach a specific result. The algorithm analyzes data, while artificial intelligence refers to a set of technologies that enable these systems to analyze data, recognize patterns, learn from them, and also predict expected outcomes. The main goal is always to attract the user."

He continued, "Algorithms are the computational steps and rules, and artificial intelligence helps systems analyze data and make decisions or predictions in a more advanced way, such as managing content, organizing it, and providing recommendations in certain applications."

He pointed out that "if a user opens a platform and finds clips matching their interests, it means the platform uses systems that monitor and analyze their previous interactions, and also try to predict the content that will interest them. These are a set of interconnected applications working together."
