Al-Baha mayor inspects preparations for honey festival and local crafts events

Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, Mayor of Al-Baha Region and head of the Al-Baha Summer Executive Committee, inspected final preparations for the 18th International Honey Festival, which will be held as part of Al-Baha Summer 2026. The event, under the patronage of Prince Hussam bin Saud, Governor of Al-Baha, will run from July 26 to August 9, 2026.

During his tour, Al-Sawat reviewed the festival's facilities and organizational and service preparations, including the largest dome in the southern regions, with a diameter of over 40 meters and an area exceeding 1,300 square meters. The festival will feature 50 indoor booths for exhibitors, government and private entities, and 10 outdoor booths for seasonal products and processed goods.

He also visited the Marbaa project, a temporary investment initiative by Al-Baha Municipality located near Raghadan Park, covering more than 37,000 square meters. The site offers integrated infrastructure, electrical services, a high-quality sound system covering the entire area, modern lighting, open seating, restaurants, cafes, workshops for handicrafts, and murals inspired by Al-Baha's heritage, all aimed at enhancing the visitor experience during the summer season.

The tour also included the Productive Families and Artisans Festival, organized by the Social Development Bank as part of Al-Baha Summer 2026, accompanied by bank director Sharifah Al-Ghamdi. The festival features the participation of productive families and artisans, with more than 80 kiosks distributed across targeted governorates, including 15 in Baljurashi and 8 in Al-Mandaq.

During the tour, Al-Sawat launched the “Safe Food Everywhere” initiative, which aims to raise awareness about food safety requirements and educate food truck operators on health regulations and proper food storage methods to ensure the safety of visitors during Al-Baha Summer 2026 events.
