Baloot tournament draws youth crowds at Suwayr Summer Festival 2026

The baloot tournament, a highlight of the Suwayr Summer Festival 2026 held at the southern Suwayr Park, attracted large numbers of young participants who competed enthusiastically in front of engaged crowds of residents and visitors.

The tournament is part of the festival’s diverse program, which features entertainment and social activities designed to appeal to all segments of society and foster an inviting atmosphere for families and guests.

The baloot matches began with the festival’s opening, featuring youth teams competing in pairs. Participants said the tournament met their expectations and expressed appreciation for Suwayr Municipality’s efforts to organize sports events for young people.

Cash prizes for winners

Suwayr Municipality head Samihan Al-Shammari said the organizing committee has allocated cash prizes for the top three winners, with the first-place team receiving 3,000 riyals (SAR), second place 2,000 riyals, and third place 1,000 riyals.

Al-Shammari added that the festival’s wide range of activities aims to include all community groups, with a special focus on providing opportunities for youth to participate in various events.
