Beijing Teachers Qualification Publishing House, has held a special ceremony, in cooperation with the Center for Research and Intercommunication Knowledge in Riyadh and the Department of Arabic Language at Beijing University for Foreign Studies, to dedicate the Saudi-Chinese Publication Project and the Saudi-Chinese Friendship Library and launch three books translated from Saudi classical literature into the Chinese language.
The ceremony, held yesterday, was attended bythe Saudi Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Turki Al-Madi, Presidentof the Center for Research & Intercommunication Knowledge Dr. Yahiya binMahmoud bin Junaid and a number of Chinese officials.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Al-Maditalked about the close relationship between the two countries and the role ofthe two leaderships in bridging friendship and strengthening relations at thepolitical, economic, cultural and scientific levels, expressing his happinesswith this big and important step embodied in the transfer of Saudi literatureto the ancient Chinese language.
