Oral triple therapy cuts bad cholesterol by 65%, Saudi cardiologist says

Dr. Khaled Al-Nemer, professor and consultant of cardiology and arterial catheterization at the College of Medicine, said that oral triple therapy for cholesterol—combining rosuvastatin, ezetimibe, and bempedoic acid—reduces harmful cholesterol by 65%, based on comparative studies.

Al-Nemer noted on his X platform account that this reduction is slightly greater than the effect of cholesterol injections alone, which lower LDL by 55%.

The cardiology consultant added that the oral therapy is less expensive, easier to use, and does not require injections.
