Second edition of historic Raghadan Market festival opens in Al-Baha

The second edition of the historic Raghadan Market festival begins today, Monday, in Al-Baha. The event is organized by the Raghadan Association for Development and Social Services in cooperation with a number of government and private sector partners, as part of the 'Al-Baha Summer 2026' program.

The festival aims to highlight the region’s cultural and heritage legacy and introduce visitors to the rich traditions of the historic Raghadan Market through a diverse range of cultural, heritage, and entertainment activities.

The program features cultural evenings, performances of the southern Ardah dance, dedicated spaces for productive families, heritage collectibles, and handicrafts. Interactive activities include Arabic calligraphy, photography, visual arts, as well as entertainment programs and competitions for families and children.

Live heritage experiences are also part of the festival, such as a storyteller’s corner, traditional bridal processions, folk games, demonstrations of plowing and stone wall construction, and the preparation of traditional dishes. Additional attractions include the Raghadan Heritage Museum, a rose and basil corner, a classic car exhibition, and workshops teaching the traditional Ardah dance, all contributing to the preservation and promotion of Al-Baha’s cultural heritage.
