The new edition of AlUla Trail Race will take place on January 23 and 24, 2025, providing a unique experience for challenge and adventure enthusiasts.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels may attend and engage in a distinctive sporting challenge in a vibrant, competitive environment.
Several races will be held at the competition, which is organized by AlUla Moments, from a 1.6-km Kids Run to a 100-km ultra-marathon, providing diverse possibilities for all skill levels in AlUla's desert landscape and flourishing ancient oases.

Next year’s AlUla Trail Race has seven distinct races; participants will traverse renowned AlUla locations, including the Elephant Rock, the Maraya (mirrors), and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hegra.

The 1.6-km race invites youngsters aged 6 to 12, providing a secure and enjoyable introduction to competitive running, while the Sunset Run (3 km) enables participants aged 13 and older to traverse the picturesque oasis of AlUla at sunset.

AlUla Oasis 10-km race is open to runners aged 13 and older, making it suitable for novices or those seeking moderate challenge. The Elephant Rock 23-km event targets more seasoned athletes aged 16 and older; it is comparable to over half a marathon.

The 50-km AlMejdar race is the most arduous trial for runners aged 18 and older, whilst the 100-km Hegra Race is the ultimate challenge for professional runners aged 18 and older, pushing the boundaries of endurance in one of the most picturesque and arduous running races.

The event will take place over two days; in the first day, participants arrive, register, are distributed runner numbers and equipment, are given the race instructions, and move to the starting location.

The first day will further include kids, families and after-sunset races. In the second day, 10-km, 23-km, and ultramarathon races will take place, culminating in a ceremony to honor the winners and give awards.

Alongside the competitive environment and athletic performances, the sports village will be a partner throughout the racing events, offering competitors and spectators a diverse selection of food and beverages, including exquisite coffees, complemented by live music and other entertainment.

Dedicated physiotherapy and rehabilitation spaces are available to provide optimal treatment for runners after the race.
