Wahj art exhibition opens in Jazan with artists and enthusiasts

The Wahj art exhibition opened yesterday in the Jazan region, organized by the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts, and attended by a number of artists, cultural figures, media representatives, and visual arts enthusiasts.

Issa Ghazawi, director of the society, explained that the exhibition aims to support the visual arts movement and provide artists with an opportunity to showcase their work to the public. This, he said, helps discover new talent, refine creative experiences, and strengthen connections between artists and those interested in visual arts. He noted that the initiative aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to support the cultural sector and enhance its presence.

Ghazawi added that the three-day exhibition features a collection of artworks by a select group of male and female artists, spanning realism, impressionism, and abstract schools. The works draw inspiration from national identity, the Saudi environment, and cultural heritage, in addition to pieces addressing social and humanitarian themes from contemporary artistic perspectives.

He noted that the exhibition helps expand the presence of visual arts, highlight local artistic experiences, and create a space for interaction between creators and the public, thereby raising awareness of visual arts and supporting the cultural movement in the region.

Diverse works and open doors for visitors

The exhibition welcomes visitors daily from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., offering a chance to explore a variety of artworks and learn about different artistic schools and styles. It also provides a platform for artists and the public to connect and exchange experiences, contributing to the development of artistic appreciation, showcasing local talent, and enhancing engagement with visual arts.
