The General Directorate of Education in Al-Baha region yesterday marked the conclusion of the KAUST summer artificial intelligence program, organized in partnership between the Ministry of Education and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). The ceremony was attended by Nawal bint Ali Al-Darmhi, Assistant Director for Educational Affairs, along with several educational leaders.

During the event, attendees reviewed the key stages of the program’s implementation and its notable outcomes, which helped develop the skills of gifted students in artificial intelligence and modern technologies. Participants also showcased the innovative projects and applications they completed during the program.

Nawal Al-Darmhi, Assistant Director for Educational Affairs, emphasized that the program reflects the Ministry of Education’s commitment to utilizing the summer break to enhance the abilities of gifted students and enrich their experience in emerging technologies. She praised the efforts of both trainers and participating students, commending their dedication throughout the three-week program. The ceremony concluded with the honoring of outstanding students and trainers in recognition of their achievements.

The program targeted 58 gifted male and female students from Al-Baha schools and featured an intensive curriculum combining theoretical and practical components. It aimed to equip participants with essential artificial intelligence skills and enhance their ability to apply modern technologies to address challenges and develop innovative solutions, thereby strengthening their future skills and readiness for digital transformation.
