An official source at the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry statedthat the State of Kuwait expressed strong condemnation towards the attempt tostorm the US embassy in Baghdad, deeming the action as a clear violation of the1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations as well as a breach ofinternational laws and norms.
In a statement issued today, the Kuwaiti ministry affirmedthat the incident put the embassy's staff at risk, calling on all Iraqi partiesto exercise self-control.
The statement wished for security and stability in Iraqduring the critical situation sweeping the country.
