King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired via video-conference on Tuesday a cabinet meeting from the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center where he was admitted for medical tests earlier this week.

King Salman and the ministers reviewed the government's preparations to organize the annual Hajj pilgrimage. They tackled its security, health and organizational plans, as well as the precautions against the novel coronavirus. The plans focus on holding the holy pilgrimage according to the highest safety and health standards. This is to protect the worshippers from the disease.

Acting Media Minister Dr. Majid al-Qasabi told the SPA that the cabinet also tackled the latest developments related to the coronavirus outbreak in the Kingdom.

The ministers also underlined the recent meetings of the Saudi-Iraqi coordination council that had discussed cooperation opportunities in all fields. The council stressed the importance of developing the strategic partnership and opening new opportunities for cooperation in the economic fields. It also hoped to deepen cooperation on regional and international arenas and protect joint interests.

The cabinet tackled the Safer oil tanker, which carries 1.1 million barrels of crude oil and has been stranded off Yemen's Red Sea oil terminal of Ras Issa for over five years. The erosion of the vessel is threatening the area with an environmental, economic and human disaster.

The cabinet condemned the Iran-backed Houthi militias' reckless actions and their refusal to grant experts access to the tanker. It called on the United Nations Security Council to announce decisive measures to end the danger the vessel poses.
