ISESCO and UNOOSA Discuss Ways to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation

The Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr. Salem bin Mohammad Al-Malik, and the Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), Simonetta Di Pippo, discussed yesterday virtually prospects for cooperation in the field of space sciences and their applications, and the provision of scholarships to students and researchers in the development of these sciences in the countries of the Islamic world.

A statement issued by ISESCO stated that the two sides discussed the importance of the organization's member states joining the UNOOSA, which works to help young people to study space sciences, as it will allow the development of joint cooperation aimed at benefiting from space science applications and technology in achieving sustainable development and the promotion of peace.
