Iraq Summons Iran’s Ambassador after a missile attack

Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned here today theAmbassador of Iran to tell him that Baghdad rejects his country'stransgressions, represented by the missile attacks on Iraqi camps, as theybreach Iraq's sovereignty.

The ministry stated, in a press statement, that "as itrejects such acts, it calls all parties concerned for restraint and worktowards easing of tension, in the region and not to turn Iraq into a battleground to settle others' scores."

The statement stressed that Iraq is an independent countryand that its internal security is a top priority and utmost interest and"we will not allow it to descend into a battle ground or turning itsterritories into a place to be used to inflict harm on the neighboring countries."
