The Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, has thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his support and care for Hajj services, praising the implementation of the Makkah Road Initiative for the second year in a row, with latest technologies that surpass conventional procedures at any airport in the world.
“The Initiative is a qualitative initiative that has contributed to facilitating procedures for Indonesian pilgrims, which made the Indonesian government interested in its implementation,” Muhammad Jusuf Kalla told a press conference on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a number of Indonesian pilgrims also praised the services being provided by Makkah Road Initiative, organized by the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with other relevant government bodies, pointing out that this initiative aims to facilitate the services provided for pilgrims and expedite their traveling procedures.
The Indonesian pilgrims expressed thanks to and appreciation of the Saudi government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, for the newly-introduced Makkah Road Initiative designed to save pilgrims’ time and effort before they enter the Saudi border sea, land and air inlets while coming for Hajj or Umrah (minor Hajj).
Moreover, Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Dr. Lukman Hakim Saifuddin has praised the services being provided by the Makkah Road Initiative to facilitate the travel procedures of Indonesian pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj rituals, pointing out that it comes to provide comfort in pilgrims’ traveling from the moment they leave Jakarta for performing Hajj rituals until they return safely to Indonesia.
This came in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the launch of the Makkah Road Initiative today at the Soekarno–Hatta International Airport.
“This initiative is one of great services being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the two holy mosques, holy sites and their visitors. He pointed out that Muslims around the world witness the continuous development every year in the services being offered by the Kingdom to pilgrims and Umrah performers.” Dr. Lukman Hakim Saifuddin said.
